Safeus ("we", "our", "the app") is a safety check-in application developed by Nimrod Bar. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Phone Number — We collect your phone number for account authentication. Your phone number is stored securely in Firebase Authentication and in our database to enable contact matching with other Safeus users.
Contacts — With your permission, we access your device's contact list to match phone numbers with other Safeus users. We do not upload or store your full contact list on our servers. We only compare phone numbers to find mutual Safeus users. Contact names are read locally on your device and never sent to our servers.
Safety Status — When you tap "I'm Safe" or "I'm NOT safe", your status and the timestamp are stored in our database so your contacts can see your safety status.
Groups — Groups you create (names and member phone numbers) are stored in our database. Groups are private to you — only you can see your groups.
Push Notification Tokens — We store your device's push notification token to deliver notifications such as nudges and group safety alerts.
