Privacy Policy

WisePath ("we", "our", "the app") is an AI-powered learning and assessment app for iOS, developed by Nimrod Bar. We designed WisePath to keep your data minimal and, wherever possible, on your own device. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how it's handled.

The short version

• Your assessments, questions, scores, and progress are stored on your device.
• Sign in with Apple is used only to verify you're a real user before generating content in the cloud. We never need your email or name.
• Topics you ask WisePath to assess are sent to our AI provider to generate questions.
• We do not sell your data, show ads, or run advertising trackers.

Information We Collect

Learning content (stored on your device) — The assessments you create, the questions generated for them, your answers, scores, proficiency points, streaks, and growth history are stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's on-device storage (SwiftData). This data is not uploaded to our servers.

Sign in with Apple — To use cloud-based assessment generation, you sign in with Apple. We exchange Apple's identity token for a secure session that authorizes your requests. We do not request, store, or need your name or email address — if Apple offers to share or hide your email, either choice works. Your session tokens are stored securely in the iOS Keychain on your device.

Topics and assessment prompts — When you ask WisePath to build an assessment, the topic and the context needed to generate good questions are sent through our secure backend to our AI provider. This is required to create your personalized quiz.

Camera (optional) — If you choose to add a selfie to a shareable results card, the app accesses your camera with your permission. The photo is used only for the results card you create and is not uploaded to our servers.

Anonymous usage analytics (optional) — WisePath may collect anonymous, aggregate usage events (such as which screens are used and whether a generation succeeded) using a privacy-friendly analytics service. These events contain no personal data and no assessment content, and are not used to identify you.

How We Use Your Information

• Sign in with Apple session: to confirm you're a signed-in user before generating assessments in the cloud, and to prevent abuse of the service.
• Topics and prompts: to generate personalized questions and assessments for you.
• Learning content: to show your assessments, scores, insights, and growth — stored on your device.
• Anonymous analytics: to understand which features are used so we can improve the app.

We do not:

• Sell or rent your data to third parties
• Use your data for advertising or build advertising profiles
• Collect your name or email address
• Track your location

Third-Party Services

WisePath relies on a small number of services to function:

• Apple — Sign in with Apple: authentication. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase: our secure backend, which handles your sign-in session and proxies assessment-generation requests. The connection is authenticated so only signed-in users can use it.
• Anthropic (Claude): the AI model that generates your assessment questions from the topic you provide. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy. Requests are sent through our backend; your Apple identity is not shared with Anthropic.
• Apple — In-App Purchases (StoreKit): if you subscribe to a paid plan, Apple processes the payment. We do not receive or store your payment details.

Data Storage & Security

Your learning content stays on your device. Session tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain. Requests to our backend and AI provider are encrypted in transit (HTTPS), and the AI provider key is held only on our server — never in the app.

Data Retention & Deletion

Because your assessments and progress live on your device, deleting the app removes that data. You can also delete individual assessments inside the app. Our backend does not store your assessment content. If you'd like us to remove the minimal account/session records associated with your Sign in with Apple identity, contact us at nimomix@gmail.com. You can also revoke WisePath's access at any time in Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple on your device.

Subscriptions

WisePath offers a free tier and optional paid plans. Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings.

Children's Privacy

WisePath is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your Rights

You have the right to access your personal data, request deletion of the limited records we hold, and opt out of optional analytics. Most of your data is already under your direct control on your device.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post any changes on this page and update the date above.
